Mount Anville VS Bush P.P.

Mount Anville 10-6 -- 6-6 Bush P.P.

Mount Anville stormed into the Leinster semi-finals with a history-making victory over Bush P.P.

Mount Anville seized the lead early, but it was a tight contest, with the game ebbing and flowing constantly. The wind played a big factor in the half, and Mount Anville's fitness was a great asset in playing against the breeze to lead at the half by 4 points. 2 long range goals from the merciless right boot of Ali Griffin however ensured that there would be no fightback, and Mount Anville finished the game comfortably.

Rachel McClafferty showed the importance of a quality Goalkeeper, displaying an assured confidence which helped settle the nerves in the side. Her numerous saves kept Mount Anville ahead, and ensured they would progress. Jessica Ryan showed the type of intestinal fortitude which permeates this team in playing through an injured ankle to constantly harass the opposition backline, notching up a plethora of scores to put the game to bed.

A well-earned semi-final berth awaits.
