The Bog of Frogs Loop Howth walk

On Monday the 25th of September all of TY made their way to Howth by DART to walk the bog of frogs loop. We were accompanied by Ms McCarthy, Ms Murphy and Mr Powell. We met outside Howth DART station at 10 am and we started the walk at around 10:30. We all received a map of the 12km trail we would be walking from Ms McCarthy to add to our TY portfolios. We walked for about 2 hours and then stopped for a break to eat our lunch it was a lovely day at 17 degrees so we were all able to enjoy the lovely sunshine as we ate but there were certainly a few burnt faces at the end of the day among us. After a few girls had finished their lunch they got into the water for a quick swim. As this was happening the tide started to come in so people sitting on the rocks had to quickly come in before they were stranded! We had a few mishaps like wet socks and shoes due to people falling in. We started walking again after everyone who had been swimming dried off and got back into their dry clothes. The last bit of the walk was not coastal as the beginning was, we did not have the lovely views of the sea and we had to walk through a little forest and over a golf course. It was a great experience and a beautiful day for this enjoyable coastal walk.
