Extra Curriculum - Student Council

11-July-16

Mount Anville Student Council represents the voice of the student body. A committee of 24 representatives (one student elected in each class from 1st-6th year) meet monthly to address the issues their individual classes have suggested need attention, and, contrary to popular belief, we not only deal with concerns students express about existing aspects of the school, but we also encourage students to innovate and put forward new ideas and creative solutions to improve daily school life. After each meeting, the student council prefect and 5th Year Secretary meet with Ms Bourden and Ms Clear to discuss the topics raised by student council. Their responses are communicated back to the committee during the subsequent follow up meeting. Student council has grown strength by strength in recent years, and we hope this year will be no exception in ensuring the student voice makes a real difference for the better.
