Feast of St. Vincent de Paul

27-September-23
Feast of St. Vincent de Paul
Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul.
Mount Anville has a long tradition of supporting the mission and invaluable work of The Society of St Vincent de Paul in parishes and communities in Ireland and worldwide. St. Vincent de Paul was known for his charitable work for the poor. Many towns and parishes have a St. Vincent de Paul Society, an organisation that helps the poor. They collect food and clothing and provide meals for people in need.
Lord, we thank you for the gift of St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you for his gift of concern, care and generosity towards others. Bless us with these gifts and may our generous hearts move us into action. Bless all those who work in the St. Vincent de Paul society for the good of others. Bless the good work they do for the needy. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
