"In October all of TY took part in the hugely successful literacy initiative, 'Operation Read.' This student-led initiative saw "Reader Leaders" setting weekly targets for their followers to achieve. The programme was a resounding success as TY reading and book-borrowing statistics rose considerably!
Highlights of the month-long programme included 'The Great Bookish Bake Off' and the fancy dress 'Book Ball'.
Well done to all involved and special thanks in particular to the Reader-Leaders, (Anna Flynn, Alannah Kirkham, Sarah Williams, Ailbhe Delargy, Maria Walsh, Maria O Dea, Isabella O Boyle, Aisling Hoey, Isabel Tansey, Julie Ringrose and Lisa Mulcahy) who led the TYs on their reading journey!"
