Eve of The Feast of St. Valentine – 13th February 2026

As we prepare to celebrate The Feast of St. Valentine, the words of St. Paul come to mind: “Love is patient, love is kind.” These simple words offer a powerful guide for our daily work. Patience in moments of stress. Kindness in times of disagreement

Prayer for Our School Community

Loving God, as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of St. Valentine, we place our Sacred Heart school community into your caring hands.

Bless our students, that they may grow not only in knowledge, but in kindness, compassion, and respect for one another. Help them to learn what it truly means to love, to be patient, forgiving, and courageous in doing what is right.

Bless our teachers and staff, who give their time, energy, and hearts each day. Renew their strength, reward their generosity, and remind them that their work shapes lives in ways that may never be fully seen.

Bless our families, the first teachers of love and faith. May our homes be places of understanding, encouragement, and peace.

Through the example of St. Valentine, teach us that love is more than words or gesture it is a choice to care, to serve, and to stand for goodness, even when it costs us something.

May our school be a place where every person is valued, no one feels alone, and love is shown in small, faithful ways each day.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
