Yesterday, we celebrated International Women’s Day in Mount Anville.
5th and 6th year students were lucky enough to have a panel of speakers come in to talk to us about International Women’s Day and give their interpretations of this year’s theme ‘Give to Gain’, among other things.
The panel consisted of Josepha Madigan (former government minister), Amanda Roche-Kelly (MD JustEat Ireland) and our very own Deputy Principal, Ms. Shiely. It was fantastic to hear from these incredible women about their lives, careers and what International Women’s Day meant to them. Their inspiring messages encouraged us to be confident, resilient and generous, and provided every student with exceptional advice for the future.
It’s safe to say every student benefited hugely from the event and we would like to thank our wonderful panellists sincerely for taking time out of their busy schedules to talk to the students of Mount Anville, very much in the spirit of ‘Give to Gain’!
