The Mount Anville Lourdes Pilgrimage team attended a special Blessing of the Hands Mass and pre departure orientation meeting in Belvedere College on August 30th. This was a special ceremony during which the hands of the team were blessed in recognition of the service they will give to sick pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage. A team of Sixth Year students accompanied by Ms Brady and Ms Fitzgerald will travel to Lourdes, France from September 7th – 12th as part of the Dublin Diocesan Schools and Colleges pilgrimage group. The team will assist in the care of sick pilgrims while on pilgrimage and attend and participate in various religious rituals such as Masses, reconciliation services and candlelight processions.
We wish the team every blessing. May Our Lady guide and support them on their journey.
