Congratulations to all the girls who took part in the IMTA Junior Pi Quiz this season, and especially to our outstanding Junior team who have achieved a remarkable national victory.
A particular congratulations to Zihui (Ariana) Zhou, Athena Wu, and Qiaobing (Cindy) Qing, who came 1st place with an impressive score of 19 out of 20, getting just one question wrong in the entire competition. The competition came down to a nail‑biting tiebreak, where the team showed great composure and emerged victorious.
Competing with three team members instead of the usual four makes this achievement even more exceptional. The team finished first out of over 1,000 teams nationwide, becoming IMTA Pi Quiz All‑Ireland Champions and the first girls’ school ever to win the competition. This victory also completes a clean sweep of the Junior maths competitions this season for Mount Anville, an extraordinary accomplishment.
