To Our Sacred Heart School Community,
We celebrate the centenary of the canonisation of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat today 24th May 2025.
The anniversary we are celebrating is not a return to the past.
It is first and foremost an opportunity to give thanks to God for the vitality of Madeleine Sophie's charism, a gift shared for the good of all.
It is an invitation to listen to her and learn from her the courage to believe in the future and in every person, especially children and young people.
It is an invitation to renew our hope in the face of uncertainty, violence, meaninglessness, and darkness.
Finally, it is a request for the impetus to renew our commitments, small or large, and our paths to holiness to respond with and through our hearts to the challenges of today.
Through the intercession of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat we pray that her light and radiance will continue to shine across the many aspects of our Sacred Heart Education.
