On Thursday the 23rd of November, 3rd year students went to Taney parish in Dundrum on a retreat. It was run by NET ministries (National Evangelisataion team). We started off the day with open minds and full of enthusiasm. We were split into three groups to complete several different activities to understand everyone’s perspectives and opinions. The NET ministry leaders acted out roleplays and dramas to demonstrate how Jesus appeared to them. The NET team taught us fun enjoyable religious songs, then we learnt raps. We then split into small groups and then each group had a leader from NET. This helped to develop our faith as we reflected on the sharings of the day. Each retreat leader then shared a story about how they encountered Jesus. This showed us that vocations can happen if you have faith in Jesus. After lunch we had a spiritual and reflective time of prayer. Our group leaders came around to each of us to pray for our individual intentions. We finished the day with some uplifting music. We would like to thank the NET team for such a great experience. We would also like to thank Mr. Mallon, Ms. Fitzgerald and Ms. Tate for accompanying us on this retreat.
