Philosophy
The Curriculum at Senior Cycle level aims at providing an educational environment conducive to the on-going realisation of the full human development of each student during her final years in Mount Anville.
Balance
- Development of moral and spiritual growth through Religious Education.
- Development of emotional and social growth through Social, Personal and Health Education.
- Development of physical growth through Physical Education.
- Development of intellectual growth through academic subjects.
- Development of technical and scientific growth through Computer Studies, Keyboarding Skills and the Sciences.
It is recommended that most students study a modern language and a science subject in the interest of balance and career options.
Content
At Senior Cycle level the following subjects are compulsory for all students. RE(non Exam), PE(non Exam), Irish, English and Mathematics and S.P.H.E. (However, in certain circumstances an exemption from Irish may be obtained from the Department of Education and Science).

The syllabus for all subjects is prescribed by the Department of Education and Science.
Methods of Assessment
- Regular assessment in each subject throughout the year.
- Subjects Report Cards reflecting effort and behaviour.
- Christmas and Summer Examinations followed by Reports.
- Leaving Certificate Examination at the end of Sixth Year (Mocks in February).
