Other Information
Activity Week
Students should use this Activity Week to assess and improve their physical wellbeing. This can be done by committing to our hockey, basketball, athletics, GAA, and badminton teams, by using the time to work on their physical skill for Gaisce, or by even going for a stimulating walk with friends and family to enjoy the final rays of sunshine before the end of the summer. Lunches should be healthy, nutritious, and varied (my own included...), and students should endeavour to monitor their physical routines throughout the week, and identify areas where more activity can be included. Many thanks to the PE department for leading the line in this wholesome initiative. Good luck!
SVP Committee
The TY SVP committee has been formed with 2 representatives from each of the 4 houses. They will work to raise both awareness and resources for those in need in the coming months. Many thanks for your voluntary commitment and dedication.
Work Experience Insurance
Many thanks to those who have contacted me already regarding insurance for Block 1 of work experience. I hope to have the updated insurance policy cover letter by the end of next week. I appreciate your patience in holding off until our current policy expires and is renewed to ensure that a duplication of paperwork is not necessary.
St. Michael’s Play
Mount Anville has been invited to take part in the St. Michael’s play to take place Nov. 15th 2019. I believe they will be performing The Field by John. B. Keane. Students interested in obtaining one of the few female parts for this production can audition in St. Michael’s on Wednesday 25th November @ 14:00, meeting director Ms. S. Gallagher in the main hall of the school. Students who leave early for this endeavour must produce a written note confirming their absence to Ms. Gilmore.
